Getting started

01 — 5 questions
How do I request a quote?

Three options, all reach the same sales team:

  • The inquiry form — fastest, lets you specify role, country, volume, and shipping terms upfront. Open form →
  • Emailmarketing05@vascali.com. Helpful to include country, intended volume, and the brand(s) or variants you're interested in.
  • WhatsApp+62 815 1930 3727. Best for quick back-and-forth.

We reply to every message within one business day (GMT+7).

What information should I include in a first inquiry?

The faster you can answer these, the faster we can quote:

  • Country / market — affects regulation, fragrance preference, packaging
  • Approximate volume — even a rough range (e.g. "1 container") is enough to start
  • Catalogue vs OEM — are you buying our existing brands, or building your own?
  • Variants of interest — beauty, medicated, fruity, multipurpose
  • Target retail price — helps us suggest the right formulation

Don't worry if you don't know all of this yet — most importers don't. Tell us what you do know and we'll ask follow-ups.

Do you sell to individuals or only to businesses?

We are a B2B manufacturer — distributors, importers, retailers, and brand owners only. We do not sell direct to consumers. Our minimum order (5 MT, ~30,000 bars) reflects this.

How long has Vascali been exporting?

PT. Sunindo Bangun Kersana has been exporting bar soap since 2010 — 14+ years of continuous export experience. Currently active in 30+ countries across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas, and the Pacific. See the Factory page for the full markets list.

What languages do you work in?

Our sales team works in English and Indonesian. Most export documentation is in English. For non-English markets, we can include localised packaging text and labels at the OEM stage.

Orders & MOQs

02 — 5 questions
What is the minimum order quantity?

Three tiers, depending on your stage:

  • Pilot — 5 MT (~30,000 bars). Single variant, standard packaging. For first imports and soft launches.
  • Launch — 20 MT (~120,000 bars). Up to 2 variants, custom packaging. Most common tier.
  • Scale — 100 MT+ (full container loads). Up to 5 variants, bespoke everything, priority production.

See OEM tiers for the full breakdown.

What is the typical lead time?

Standard catalogue items — 60–75 days from PO confirmation to vessel sailing.

OEM / Private label — 90–120 days (includes formulation, 3 sampling rounds, packaging design and printing).

Add ocean freight time to your port. We can quote a realistic door-to-door timeline once we know the destination.

What is your monthly production capacity?

2,000 MT / month across our 10,000 m² facility in Tangerang. Capacity is allocated month-to-month — for large recurring orders we can reserve dedicated production slots.

Can I mix multiple variants in one order?

Yes — provided each variant meets its own minimum. For catalogue items the variant minimum is 1 MT (per variant) within a 5 MT total order. For OEM, mixing is part of the tier package (Launch tier supports 2 variants, Scale supports 5).

How does loading work — what fits in a container?

Approximate loading capacity:

  • 20' container — ~13 MT (≈78,000 bars at 75g, ≈52,000 bars at 150g)
  • 40' container — ~26 MT (≈156,000 bars at 75g, ≈104,000 bars at 150g)
  • 40' HC (high cube) — ~28 MT, useful for lighter cartons

Exact figures depend on bar weight, packaging size, and carton configuration. We'll confirm in your final quotation.

OEM & private label

03 — 5 questions
Can I customize the formulation?

Yes. Our R&D team can adjust:

  • Base chemistry — moisturizing, antibacterial, gentle/sulfate-free, glycerine-rich
  • Active ingredients — papaya, almond, honey, neem, charcoal, kojic acid, etc.
  • Fragrance — over 200 in our scent library, or custom-developed
  • Colour — solid, marbled, pearlescent
  • Shape, weight, embossing — standard 75g–250g; custom moulds on Tier 03

We will only propose formulations that comply with your target market's regulations.

Is design support included? How do you handle packaging?

Yes — our in-house design team handles:

  • Logo design if you don't have one (Launch tier and up)
  • Wrapper / label design from your brief or moodboard
  • Carton dieline and structural design
  • Print-ready files delivered for your approval before production

Packaging options: paper wrap, flow pack, pillow pack, folding carton, multi-pack. Materials include kraft, coated, foil, and eco-grade boards.

How many rounds of sampling can I do?

Three rounds of sampling are included free on all tiers. Each round you iterate on fragrance, colour, shape, weight, and packaging mock-ups.

Additional rounds are billed at cost (typically minor — material and courier only). In practice, three rounds is enough for the great majority of projects.

Who owns the formulation I develop with you?

The brand, packaging design, and trademark are yours — fully. The base formulation is a proprietary recipe developed jointly; we hold the recipe but commit not to use it for another brand for the term of our manufacturing agreement.

If you want exclusive ownership of a fully bespoke formulation, we can quote that as a Tier 03 arrangement.

Can I switch from catalogue to OEM later?

Absolutely — many of our long-running distributor partnerships started with catalogue orders and moved to private label once the market was proven. Your sales contact stays the same; we just add the R&D team to the conversation.

Pricing & payment

04 — 4 questions
How is pricing calculated?

Pricing depends on five factors: formulation, bar weight, packaging, order volume, and shipping terms (FOB / CIF / EXW). We quote per bar (USD), and break out unit cost vs packaging vs shipping clearly so you can model your margin.

Volume discounts kick in at Tier 02 (20 MT) and become significant at Tier 03 (100 MT+).

What payment terms do you offer?

First order: 30% deposit on PO, 70% balance against B/L copy. Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) to our USD account in Indonesia.

Repeat orders: we can discuss L/C at sight, or net-30 terms for established partners after three successful shipments.

What currency do you invoice in?

USD is the default for international orders. EUR available on request for European buyers. Domestic Indonesian orders are in IDR.

Are there setup or tooling fees for OEM?

For standard moulds and packaging — no setup fee. For custom moulds (bespoke shape or embossing) — a one-time tooling fee applies, typically amortised over your first order. We quote this transparently in the proposal.

Design work and three sampling rounds are included free at every tier.

Shipping & logistics

05 — 5 questions
Which Incoterms do you support?

The three most commonly used by our customers:

  • FOB Jakarta or Surabaya — most common; you handle ocean freight and destination charges
  • CIF (port of destination) — we handle freight and insurance to your port
  • EXW Tangerang — pick up from our factory; you handle everything else

We can also quote CFR, DAP, or DDP for specific markets. Tell us your preference in the inquiry.

Which ports do you ship from?

Primary: Port of Tanjung Priok (Jakarta) — the main international gateway, 40 km from our factory.

Secondary: Port of Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), on request.

How long does shipping take to my country?

Indicative ocean-freight transit times from Jakarta:

  • Middle East (Saudi, UAE, Qatar) — 18–25 days
  • West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana) — 35–45 days
  • East Africa (Kenya, Somalia) — 22–30 days
  • South America (Chile, Venezuela) — 35–50 days
  • USA East Coast — 30–40 days
  • Europe — 30–40 days

Add ~10 days for customs clearance and inland transport. We can quote a realistic door-to-door timeline once we know your destination.

Do you handle export documentation?

Yes — for all FOB and CIF shipments. Standard package includes Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Certificate of Origin, COA (Certificate of Analysis), and Halal certificate where applicable.

If your market requires special documentation (e.g. FDA West Africa, SASO for Saudi Arabia, BIS for India), tell us at the inquiry stage and we'll confirm what we can provide.

Can I arrange my own freight forwarder?

Yes — on FOB and EXW terms you're free to nominate your own forwarder. We coordinate directly with them for pickup and loading at the factory or port.

Compliance & certifications

06 — 4 questions
What certifications do your products carry?

Every product is covered by:

  • Halal Certificate — LPPOM MUI (Indonesian Ulama Council)
  • GMP — Good Manufacturing Practice, BPOM RI (National Food and Drug Agency)
  • CPP-KRTB — Household Products Production Licence, Ministry of Health RI
  • Paraben Free across all formulations
  • Cruelty Free — no animal testing, ever

Full certificate copies available on request.

Can you provide market-specific compliance documents?

Yes. We have experience providing:

  • SASO / SFDA for Saudi Arabia
  • ESMA for UAE
  • NAFDAC for Nigeria
  • FDA-style submissions for various African and Asian markets
  • EU CPNP-style cosmetic notification data for European buyers

Tell us your destination market at the inquiry stage so we can confirm what's needed.

Are your formulations vegan / plant-based?

Yes — 100% of our formulations are plant-based. No animal fats (tallow), no animal-derived glycerine, no alcohol. This is a foundational requirement of our Halal certification and our company values.

Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with each shipment?

Yes — every export shipment ships with a batch-specific COA covering pH, moisture, alkalinity, hardness, and microbial limits. If your market requires additional testing, tell us at the PO stage.

Samples & quality

07 — 3 questions
How do I get samples? Are they free?

Catalogue samples — free. You cover courier (typically $30–$80 by DHL/FedEx depending on your country).

OEM samples — three rounds included free in any tier. Each round of physical samples is couriered to you at our cost.

Email or WhatsApp us with your address and the variants you want to evaluate; we typically ship within 3 business days.

How is quality controlled in production?

Every production batch is tested in our in-house QC lab for:

  • pH and free alkalinity
  • Moisture content
  • Hardness / Penetrometer reading
  • Microbial load (TPC, yeast, mould)
  • Fragrance and colour conformance to approved sample

Out-of-spec batches do not ship. Pre-shipment inspection by your nominated SGS / Bureau Veritas / Intertek is welcomed and can be coordinated.

Can I do an independent third-party inspection?

Yes — and we encourage it for first-time customers. SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, and TÜV all have offices in Jakarta and have inspected our facility before. We coordinate access and provide all batch documentation.

Factory visits

08 — 3 questions
Can I visit the factory?

Yes — we welcome customer visits and they are particularly useful before a first large order. Schedule with at least two weeks notice so we can:

  • Arrange airport pickup from Soekarno-Hatta (CGK)
  • Book a meeting room and prepare relevant samples
  • Suggest hotels in central Jakarta or near the factory in Tangerang
  • Provide a translator if you don't speak English or Indonesian

Email marketing05@vascali.com with your travel window and we'll send a suggested itinerary.

Where are you located? How do I get there?

Kawasan Industri Jatake, Jl. Industri Raya III, Blok AH No.9, Cikupa Tangerang 15710, Indonesia. Open in Google Maps →

~35 km from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), 40–60 minutes by car depending on traffic. Most international visitors stay in central Jakarta or Tangerang Selatan.

Do I need a visa to visit Indonesia for business?

Most countries qualify for visa-on-arrival or e-visa for business visits. We can issue an invitation letter on company letterhead to support your visa application — just email us your passport details and intended dates.

Check the latest requirements with your nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate before you travel.
